The very scenic Glencar Valley is located on the Sligo/Leitrim border
has high mountains and dramatic steep cliffs.
Glencar Lake is 3km long and has two splendid Waterfalls. The well known Glencar Waterfall and it's close neighbour The Devils Chimney.
Glencar Waterfall mentioned in the poem, ' The Stolen Child ' left a lifelong
impression on the poet W. B. Yeats.
The Devils Chimney is Ireland's tallest waterfall at 492 feet (150m). To say the least it is very impressive, indeed!
